The Neligh City Council met for a special meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Council Chambers pursuant to posted notice on April 12, 2019. Present were Mayor Joe Hartz and Council Members Dale Wilkinson, Brent Pickrel, Leonard Miller and Ted Hughes. Also in attendance were City Attorney Jim McNally, City Clerk Danielle Klabenes, News Reporter Carrie Pitzer, Don Zegers, Ken & Linda Klaasmeyer and approximately 20 employees and staff from the Neligh Care & Rehab. The Antelope County Commissioners have the intent to purchase or lease two new or used tractors. The Antelope County Commissioners will invite informal quotes from April 17th, 2019, until 10:00am on May 7th, 2019. Quotes should be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Antelope County Commissioners, 501 Main Street, PO Box 26, Neligh, NE 68756-0026. The envelope must be clearly marked with “Informal quote for tractor” on the outside of the envelope. Quotes will be opened at the May 7th, 2019 board meeting at 10:00am. Approved hiring Kelsey Green as Pool Manager at $11.00 an hour, Tia Smith as Assistant Pool Manager at $10.50 an hour and the list of lifeguards as recommended by the Park Board. Approved the spring community clean up dates of April 27 th at the compactor and tree dump from 11AM to 5PM and Sunday April 28th at the Tree Dump from 11AM to 5PM with a rain date of May 4th & 5 th with regular fees in place. Approved the hiring of Grant Knutson for Electric Lineman at $19.50 an hour following pre-employment testing.
