2019 Social Media - Coffee With Coaches
Coffee With Coaches is a weekly sports show we air on Facebook. A coach joins ACN sports writer Luke Jacobsen at a location on Saturday morning. The two recap the game from the night or week before, sometimes talking about other big games that were played locally. Coffee With Coaches was very well received because sports are huge in Northeast Nebraska, and our readers/viewers were very interested in what the coaches had to say.
Also, it was fantastic to shoot at various locations because of sponsorship. The video below was sponsored by Two Rivers Irrigation. At the 3 minute mark, owner Cody Frank sneaks into for a matter of seconds for a quick "commercial" about his business. Plus, his Zimmatic irrigation brand is visible throughout the video, as is the branding on the table.
Coffee With Coaches is only 3-8 minutes long, depending on the coach, so it keeps readers attention. it was aired every Saturday at 10 a.m., so it became a habit for readers to tune in. Plus, those who follow the ACN receive a notification each time we go live. They are reminded to tune into the show. This video received about 3,000 views and had 40 reacts. This compliments our traditional online and print sports coverage and makes our readers feel part of the show.
