SPECIAL JOINT BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING BOARD MINUTES July 10, 2019 Meeting Held @ Ewing Public School- 416 N. Spruce Street- Ewing, Nebraska 68735 PRESENT Board Members: Jason Schindler- Pete Funk- Ed Nordby-Jeremy Wagner- Gina Koenig Administrators: Superintendent Ted Hillman & Principal Greg Appleby ABSENT Board Member: Mark Ramold A. The special joint board meeting between Ewing Board of Education, Clearwater Original Board of Education, and Orchard Original Board of Education was called to order by Vice-President Jason Schindler at 7:08 pm. Roll call was taken. Board members Gina Koenig and Mark Ramold were absent. Visitors were welcomed and informed that this meeting was in compliance with the Nebraska Open Meetings Act and Open Meeting Laws are posted for inspection at any time. B. Moved by Schindler, seconded by Nordby to approve the agenda for the meeting and to excuse board members Gina Koenig and Mark Ramold. Motion carried 4-0. C. Board Member Gina Koenig arrived at 7: 12 pm. D. Public Comment Period. E. Moved by Nordby, seconded by Funk, to approve the Architectural Contract with Wilkins ADP, LLC for the proposed building project. Motion carried 5-0. F. Moved by Wagner, seconded by Nordby, to approve the selection of Hausmann Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk for the proposed building project. Motion carried 5-0. G. Moved by Funk, seconded by Nordby, to approve the Ewing Public Schools Board of Education Reorganization Petition Resolution. Said resolution was read in its entirety. Motion carried 5-0. H. Review of building project schedule was provided by Jacob Sertich from Wilkins ADP. I. Moved by Nordby, seconded by Schindler, to adjourn the meeting at 7:58 pm. Approved 4-0 Public participation offered Motion by Schwager seconded by Hoke to approve the architectural contract from Wilkins. RCV- Schwager, Clifton, Williby, Hoke. Approved 4-0 Motion by Schwager seconded by Clifton to approve the selection of Hausmann Construction as Construction Manager. RCV- Schwager, Clifton, Williby, Hoke.
