Highways Remain Snow Packed Thursday Morning

Two to three inches of snow fell over night in Antelope County as a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday. Highways across the county are completely snow packed, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Snow accumulations of up to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts possible, is expected. Freezing drizzle could mix with snow later Thursday. Heavy snow will fall in a short period of time with reduced visibility during the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow, sleet and freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery rods and limited visibilities.
