Cyclones Surge Past Central Valley, 62-18

The Clearwater/Orchard football team continued its offensive onslaught this season with a 62-18 triumph over Central Valley Friday.

After falling behind, 18-16, OC scored 46-straight points to surge past the Cougars.

The Cyclones have scored 232 points this season - 58 points per contest - while surrendering just 38 points - more than nine points a game - in their three wins.

Chris Kester led the way for OC with 152 yards through the air, 104 yards on the ground and three total touchdowns. Jacob Long ran for 63 yards and three scores, Blake Hoke caught five passes for 93 yards and a TD and Clay Theile added a touchdown reception.

Long led the defense with 15 tackles, while Thiele and Zach King each recorded eight tackles and combined for three sacks in the game.

Clearwater/Orchard (3-1) travels to Stuart Thursday at 7 p.m.
