The keno machine is back at Double D’s.
Although keno might just seem like a fun game to play on a Friday night out, Orchard residents might not be aware of the significant contribution funds from the game make to the village.
Of the money the machine takes in, a large portion of that is given back to the village to make improvements.
Since Double D’s acquired Keno, a total of $139,099.29 has been contributed to community improvement for the machine.
A few items purchased include:
The cemetery fence which was put up along with donations from the public, mosquito sprayer, millings for street repairs, riding lawn Rhino mower, a garage door for the shop, armor coating, the zero turn mower, the snow plow, a safety ladder gate at the water tower, a check valve for the well, a wheel for plow broom for Bobcat, the curb gutter on main street and Boy Scout building roof repairs.
