Photos are by Dylan Widger and video by Carrie Pitzer. As the 45th Old Mill Days celebration drew closer to an end, many lined the banks of the Elkhorn River at Riverside Park, waiting to see if they were the lucky duck.
At 6 p.m., the Neligh Young Men's Club dumped thousands of rubber ducks off the Old Mill Bridge as they raced to the finish line down by the park. The first 30 ducks across the finish line locked up a cash prize for the lucky ones to have purchased that ticket. The winners were (with duck number): 1. Nate Soper (1369) 2. Jon Lungren (0883) 3. Larry Henkenius (0120) Prizes can be picked up at the Antelope County News office at 110 E 4th Street in Neligh. The annual Scavenger Hunt on Monday night had five team scouring Neligh in search of obscure items. Among the items on the list were a live butterfly, dishwasher, whole fully cooked pizza, 1992 vehicle owners manual, 27 different wedding koozies and a Farmer's Almanac.
Team A won the competition. The Grace Lutheran Church Mission Group hosted the ice cream social on Tuesday before the Old Mill Days parade in Neligh.
The Rolly Johnson Memorial Horseshoe Tournament drew a crowd following the parade on Tuesday afternoon in Riverside Park.
Results will be added as soon as they are available. The Lion's Club members spend the day cooking breakfast and lunch in the Neligh Senior Center on Tuesday. Breakfast was a free-will donation.
The organization is also looking for new members and encourages anyone interested in volunteering their time to stop by a meeting. They are held in their building on 5th Street on the second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. The tractor pull following the parade at the Old Mill Days was as fun as aways in Neligh.

The event was held on the courthouse lawn following the parade. The Tillema girls (Rylee, Lexy and Emmy) won the contest.
