Wind Turbines were a highly debated topic at this morning's meeting of the Antelope County Supervisors.
Two more sound complaints were filed with Zoning Administrator Char Carpenter Tuesday morning. She presented the board with a company that would conduct a two week noise study that would cost just over $10,000.
Invenergy addressed the board saying they have been in contact with the landowners of the first two complaints and had plans to meet with them again.
They also presented the board with information regarding a company they would hire to conduct a sound study in the problematic area in Southern Antelope County. The study would last for 6-8 weeks and required setting up microphones at residences.
Carpenter pointed out that the company has worked with Invenergy before, and had concerns about their study being unbiased. Invenergy representatives said they would work with the board and were open to using other independent consultants as well.
Supervisors discussed at length how to proceed with the complaints and the noise study.
The board moved to have Carpenter further her research on other companies that could do a study and bring her findings to the board and make a recommendation at the next supervisors meeting.
