The Neligh-Oakdale volleyball squad called for a White Out from the crowd for their home-opener, a call that the students answered in force. However, that was not enough to help the Warriors as they fell in both games of their own triangular.
The Warriors first took on the Stuart Broncos to start the evening. It was a close match throughout and Neligh-Oakdale had their chances, but they couldn't capitalize as they fell 25-20 and 25-22.
Chase Vleck was strong at the net for the Warriors, recording nine kills to lead the Neligh-Oakdale attack. As a team, the Warriors recorded 41 digs on the evening, using their defense to keep the match close. Of those 41 digs, Natilee Payne was responsible for eight digs and Kristen Snodgrass, Kinsley Klabenes and Bailey Frey recorded seven digs each.
The Warriors then took a break before taking on the St. Mary's Cardinals in the final match of the night. They were unable to keep the game close, falling 25-11 and 25-9.
Vleck once again led the way for Neligh-Oakdale, bringing up nine digs and recording four kills in the match.
The Warriors now look to regroup before they travel to Bloomfield for the Bloomfield Triangular on Tuesday.
