Neligh-Oakdale advanced in the NVC Tournament with a 73-47 victory over Elgin Public/Pope John on Thursday night.
The Warriors came out firing, hitting a pair of threes to start off the game, but the Wolfpack answered with three 2-pointers to tie it up. N-O eventually pulled away toward the end of the quarter and led by eight heading into the second quarter. The Warriors extended their lead in the second and third quarters to seal the win.
"We shot the ball really well tonight, hopefully that will continue," N-O Coach Frank Gade said. "I'm proud of the way we focused on the little things."
Neligh-Oakdale had four scorers in double digits - Grant White with 19; Tyson Belitz 16; Clayton Anderson 13 and Alex Kerkman 10. In addition, Pepper Marchant recorded 9; Chris Bentley 4 and Cole Belitz 2.
For the Wolfpack, Chad Bode led the team with 13, followed by Austin Meis with 10; Ashton Evans 8, Kyle Schumacher 4, Kyle Kallhoff and Scott Moser with 3 each; and Kenny Bush and Seth Schumacher with 2 each.

Neligh-Oakdale will take on Niobrara-Verdigre in the NVC semi-final game at Elgin Pope John today at 2:45 p.m.
EPPJ will be in action again next Tuesday when they host CWC in a regular-season matchup.
