Warrior Grapplers Looking To State Qualifier For Leadership

State qualifiers: Cameron Wilkinson, Devan Breuer, Garett Allemang, 

2016-17 season preview: Coach Gary Davis is prepared once again to lead the Neligh-Oakdale wrestling squad on the mat in 2016-17.

The Warriors return one state qualifier from 2015-16 in sophomore Cameron Wilkinson. Wilkinson qualified for the state meet last season at 106 pounds.

Jayden Arehart will likely be the 152 wrestler for the Warriors. Andrew Herley enters the season as the 132 pounder. Luke Jacobsen may wrestle at heavyweight if a knee injury doesn’t keep him out the whole season. 
Jose Luna, Kaleb Pofahl and Cade Wilkinson all aim to make an impact for the Warriors as well in 2016-17.

The Warriors also boast one of the few female wrestlers in the state in junior Calli Wilkinson. She will look to give the Warriors a strong presence in the lighter weight classes this season.

The Warriors hit the mat for the first time in 2016-17 Thursday, December 1, when they travel to Mount Michael Benedictine for the first quadrangular of the year.
