Thursday marked an exciting day for Two Rivers Irrigation and Carquest of Neligh as the businesses celebrated their grand opening and ribbon cutting as members of the Neligh Chamber of Commerce.
Last August, Cody Frank announced plans to move Two Rivers Irrigation from Ewing to Neligh and construct a new state-of-the-art building for the business. With the move, he announced the purchase of Carquest from the Kneivel family.
"I worked with a partner of mine in the business that was involved in some other Carquest stores and as we were coming to Neligh and getting our building laid out, we thought it would be a good time to add something else in," Frank said. "Carquest had made a good partnership for him in some other towns he was involved in and it will make a good partnership here too."
Carquest moved from its previous location near Riverside Park to the new site of Two Rivers Irrigation on Highway 275, between Elkhorn Rural Public Power and Green Line Equipment.
Two Rivers Irrigation, which Frank said has seen great growth in the last few years, moved to Neligh with a new partnership with Zimmatic.
"With this move, we now sell new Zimmatic center pivots and repairing systems with quality Zimmatic components. We continue to do everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible for all of our customers," Frank said.
Two Rivers Irrigation became the ninth business in the last year to either open or announce plans to have a location in Neligh.
