Children who are hurting can now be comforted by a teddy bear, thanks to a donation from State Farm Insurance in Neligh.
Melissa Smith, a State Farm agent in Neligh, recently donated a dozen State Farm teddy bears for any children who are patients in Antelope Memorial Hospital or need ambulance services. The bears will also be given to newborn babies at AMH.
The teddy bears are intended to provide comfort to young patients while they are receiving medical care, and then the children may take the bear home with them. State Farm will replenish the bears as needed.

"The teddy bears are very much appreciated," said Gayle Carlson, communications officer for AMH ambulance service. "We've had medi-teddies in the past, and they are such a comfort to our pediatric patients. It gives them something soft to cuddle."
