Smoke is in the air today, and it's not healthy.
South winds have brought smoke into the area from Kansas, according to officials, and it is effecting air quality locally.
Those with asthma, lung disease, other respiratory conditions or heart disease - as well as older adults and children - may be affected the most. Health officials have advised people to s stay indoors, avoid strenuous physical activity, keep windows and doors closed and use the recirculate air setting in vehicles, according to a press release.
The smell of smoke and air quality situation is expected to last for several days.
