More than a dozen Neligh Chamber of Commerce members attended the ribbon cutting for Pitzer Digital and the Antelope County News on Friday afternoon. In front of their newly remodeled building at 110 E. 4th Street, the ribbon was cut and first dollar presented to owner Carrie Pitzer, along with team members Jenny Higgins and Erin Whitesel, who manage the Antelope County News - a subsidiary of Pitzer Digital, LLC. Pitzer Digital, LLC was the first recipient of an LB 840 economic development loan from the City of Neligh and made it a priority to utilize local businesses with the project from steel and carpet to decor, office supplies and apparel.
Pitzer Digital began in August of 2013 focusing on website development, marketing and graphic design and has blossomed into one of Neligh's fastest-growing businesses. The company expanded in December and launched the Antelope County News on January 1. It expanded again over the summer with the Knox County News. "It's been a whirlwind year, and none of this would be possible without the support of family, friends and community members," Pitzer said. "Pitzer Digital has taken marketing in the area to a higher level with our knowledge, experience and professionalism. It is the one-stop-shop for everything - websites, logos, catalogs, flyers, direct mail, business cards, gift certificates and more." Pitzer Digital worked with the Neligh Economic Development office to design the new City of Neligh logo, consulted with several companies on improving SEO of their websites, built websites for nearly three dozen businesses and organizations in Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri and is working with several companies on major print projects, some that go nationwide. "I have nearly 20 years of desktop publishing experience, giving Pitzer Digital the knowledge and capabilities for professional publications," Pitzer said. "We use the most updated software and technology and still maintain the price structure you would expect in Northeast Nebraska." The Antelope and Knox County News websites have flourished under Pitzer's guidance as communities in both counties have supported the sites that require no subscription and no surveys to read the content, which is all submitted with no charge. The only fees are for advertising and classified ads. Even engagements, anniversary announcements and obituaries are free. Pitzer said the Antelope County News started on the premise of being a website to promote events across the county for free. They simply responded to the requests of the readers and grew to accommodate their needs, quickly becoming a full news site because the county wanted the coverage. "In less than nine months, the ACN has become one of the most popular media websites in all of Northeast Nebraska - not just Antelope County," Pitzer said. "It's a great opportunity for businesses to advertise their services. This is where the eyes of Antelope County - and beyond - are looking every day. Businesses need to advertise where their potential customers are at, and they are consistently on the ACN." Pitzer Digital and the Antelope County News can both be reached at 402-887-4000. Our job is to help market your business or event, not sell you something," Pitzer said. "Our motto is helping small businesses succeed is our business. That's what we do, and we do it very well." |
