It’s almost time to putt around Neligh and win some prizes!
The Neligh Chamber of Commerce is “putting” on its first ever Putt-Around- Neligh on Thursday, and it’s sure to be a fun time. The event gives members of the community not only a chance to attempt their best shot at 10 holes in 10 different businesses, but also a chance to meet members of each local business and see what each business is all about.
Chamber member Steve Simonsen said, “The Chamber is always looking for new ideas to get people into businesses. We figured the Putt Around would be a good event to not only get people in the doors of the local businesses, but it also gives them something fun to do.”
Putt Around Neligh is not only for the community members, though. People from all over the area are invited to play and try to win. Anyone 13 or over can play.
“It is a great opportunity for members of the Chamber to also thank the community members for being supporters of our local businesses,” Simonsen said.
Putt Around Neligh & Win will take place on Thursday, May 4, from 4-8 p.m. Participants must play all 10 holes for a chance to win.
People are welcome to take their best putt on each hole in the 10 participating businesses – SchinDigs, Antelope County Chiropractic, Stealth Broadband, Wanek Pharmacy, Antelope County News, Carhart Lumber, Creekwood Chiropractic, State Farm, Farm Bureau Financial and 319 Graphics.
The goal for Putt Around Neligh & Win is to complete all 10 holes. While at the participating businesses, make sure to stamp your scorecard showing that you have completed the hole. Once finished, return your scorecard to the American Legion for a chance to win via a drawing. The Neligh Chamber of Commerce will be giving out up to $200 in prizes. The top two scorecards will win top prizes.
“We are really looking forward to the Putt Around,” Simonsen said. “Overall, we think it will be a lot of fun for the community and the participating businesses.”
