Pitzer Digital Purchases 'Living Here' Magazine

Living Here magazine, which celebrates the people, heritage and communities of Northeast Nebraska and Southeast South Dakota, was recently purchased by a Neligh company.

Pitzer Digital LLC of Neligh, Nebraska, owned by Carrie and Wade Pitzer, has purchased the magazine publication from Dale and Mary Ann Hoebelheinrich of Yankton, South Dakota.

Founded by the Hoebelheinriches 14 years ago, the magazine quickly became a favorite among area readers as it built a loyal reader base.

"I'm a little sentimental about leaving the sales and freelance writing staff, as well as the other people who contribute to all aspects of the magazine," Hoebelheinrich said. "A great consolation is that I leave you in good hands. Wade and Carrie Pitzer, who own Pitzer Digital, have purchased the magazine. Born and raised in Northeast Nebraska, the Pitzers have over 20 years of journalism and publishing experience. With their integrity and hard work ethic, I'm confident they will continue giving you a quality product."

Living Here is a quarterly publication with subscribers nationwide. It focuses on people and history of Northeast Nebraska and Southeast South Dakota.

"We're excited to continue the magazine's tradition of values and strength as it features local individuals, events and history of the area," said Carrie Pitzer, who will serve as publisher. "Living Here is a perfect fit with our philosophy of recognizing the great people of Nebraska and South Dakota."

Pitzer said she is looking forward to working with the freelance writers who already contribute to the magazine and will be looking for several more as exciting features and stories are added to the publication.

"Living Here already has a very loyal reader base, and we will continue printing the human interest stories they love," she said. "We hope to add more to the magazine as we reach more readers in both states. Living Here is a perfect fit for our company and an exciting opportunity for us. We can't wait for our first issue this fall."

The Summer 2017 issue of Living Here is now available across the two states and was the final edition published by the Hoebelheinriches. The first issue by Pitzer Digital will be on shelves in September.
