Downtown Neligh has a new store that is unlike any other in the area, and is now officially open for business.
Sarah Ahlers accepted her first dollar of pure profit from the Neligh Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday for her store “Peas & Carrots”
Ahlers daughter, Grace, cut the ribbon at the store-front of 315 Main Street.
Present were Lyle Juracek, previous owner of the building; Carrie Pitzer, Chamber member; Stephanie Wanek, City Council Member; Greg Ptacek, Neligh Economic Developement Director; Sarah Ahlers with her husband Justin and their three children Grace, Jack and Ben.
Getting the idea from Kookaburras Kloset in Norfolk, Ahlers said the store is a great opportunity for people to keep with a budget and still keep closets up to date.
Peas & Carrots offers gently used children’s clothing. The clothes are quality items, which Ahlers purchases from others and then resells.
