One Taken To Hospital After Motorcycle-Pickup Accident

An Orchard man was taken to the hospital this morning after his motorcycle collided into a pickup.

The accident occurred at 6:50 a.m. on Hwy. 275 in Neligh at the 3rd Street intersection near Cubby's, according to Trooper Brian Detlefsen.

He said Kim Blackmore of Orchard was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Hwy. 275 when he collided into the back of a Chevy pickup driven by Jack Hixson of Neligh.

Blackmore was transported by ambulance to Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh with possible head injuries; however, he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Detlefsen said. Hixson was not injured.

He said the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
