Youth and adults wanting to sign up for the Hunter Safety class in Neligh have until Friday, Sept. 18, to do so.
Youth must be age 11 by Sept. 26 to become certified. Those who are 10 during the Sept. 19 class must be accompanied by an adult. The class is open to all ages, including adults. The two-day class will be Saturday, Sept. 19 and 26, at the Neligh Library. The class will be from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. both days. Students will go to the shooting range on the final day. The class is free and sponsored by the Nebraska Game & Parks, Neligh Young Mens Club and Antelope County Shooter's Club. Participants must register online at www.register-ed.com/events/view/67557. All students under 19 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to the first session to ensure appropriate information is received on dates, sessions and additional requirements.
