A Neligh hair salon is expanding its staff and services offered.
Chris Baker, owner of Razor’s Edge, welcomed Aimee Hauf to the salon this week. Hauf graduated from Joseph’s Beauty College in Norfolk on Friday and will begin seeing clients on Wednesday.
“It’s very exciting,” Baker said. “I’m super pumped to add Aimee to the business. It’ll be wonderful to have someone in here every day and be able to expand our client base and the services we provide.”
Hauf is a 2002 graduate of Orchard Public School and plans to move to Neligh this summer with her fiancee, Jeremiah Bartak of Norfolk, and their daughter Bree, 3.
“I really wanted to get back to my roots,” Hauf said. “This is a great community to raise a child in. It’s very family friendly and full of very nice people.”
Baker said Razor’s Edge, which opened in 2004, already offers services for hair, nails and tanning and is expanding to include shellac, updos and pyrethrin dip for manicures. She said the business has offered acrylic nails for a long time and is excited to include shellac. Baker said the business plans to expand to include pedicures as well.
Hauf will provide updos for special occasions, including prom, weddings and dance recitals, along with highlights, colors and hair cuts.
Hauf said Razor’s Edge is a perfect fit because she can bring new beauty services to the area and raise her family in a small community.
“I’m so excited to be joining Chris at Razor’s Edge,” Hauf said. “I have a passion for this and really feel at home in Neligh. I’m excited to start tomorrow.”
The Razor’s Edge is now accepting new clients and can be reached by calling 402-887-2272.
