Want to try some of Nebraska's best beer and wine? Here's your opportunity.
The Neligh Young Men’s Club is hosting a beer and wine tasting event Nov. 7 featuring five breweries and four wineries from across the state.
The event will be at the Neligh American Legion from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Appetizers will be served and Dave Merkel will provide the music.
According to event coordinator Steve Simonsen, those attending will have a chance to sample different brews and wines and taste what appetizers are best paired with each.
A commemorative mug, beer and wine samples, along with appetizer, are all included in the price of the ticket. Tickets are on sale now - $20 in advance and $30 at the door - at Thriftway Market, Antelope County Chiropractic and the Antelope County News.
There is a limited number of tickets available. You must be 21 years of age or older to attend this event.
A homebrew beer and wine contest will also be held. For more information on entering your homebrew, call 402-929-0550.
After the wine and beer tasting, the American Legion will be open to the public with the Nebraska vs. Michigan State football game on the big screen at the Legion.
