Midwest Medical Transport Chief Executive Officer Jeff Shullaw announced that Julie Tschirren of Neligh as a new regional manager for the company and will oversee four locations and potentially more in the coming months.
“She’s an impressive lady,” Shullaw said while in Neligh for the company’s ribbon cutting for its new location. “To start with, we’re going to give her Fremont, Columbus, Pender and Neligh. She does such a good job here that we want to take what she does here and share that with the folks who work in those locations.”
Tschirren most recently served as manager of the Neligh location and was one of four people selected out of the 500 eligible for the position. Tschirren said she’s excited about her new position and is looking forward to her new role.
“This is a great opportunity, and I appreciate the support from everyone at Midwest Medical Transport,” Tschirren said. “It’s a great company to work for with great values and dedication to patients and staff.”
Shullaw said Midwest Medical currently has 25 stations and plans to open another 10 in the next six months.
“As we open new locations in the north and west of here, we’ll offer Julie the opportunity to take control of those locations as well,” he said. “Julie has this great balance of doing what’s right for the patient, doing what’s right for her employees and doing what’s right for the company. That’s something that’s hard to find in a person, and she has all of that.”
Among Tschirren’s responsibilities as regional manager are hiring staff and managing schedules. Shullaw said she will be “the manager’s manager.”
“Her job will be making sure everyone has the right training, the equipment is in good wiring order and we deliver the service we’ve promised these communities,” Shullaw said.
Midwest Medical Transport recently moved into a new location in Neligh, located on Highway 275. Shullaw said new locations will be opening soon in Colorado, Arkansas, Illinois and Iowa.
