The Neligh Area Community Foundation and City of Neligh announced today that a grant has been received for repair to the Old Mill Bridge which was severely damaged in the 2010 Elkhorn River flood. The grant is for $650,000.00 and was made by a foundation that wishes to remain anonymous. Last Tuesday, the Neligh Area Community Foundation met and agreed to the grant terms and conditions and the funds were received Monday the 16. The City Council at their last regular meeting filed an application with the Neligh Area Community Foundation to use the grant funds for the Old Mill Bridge repairs. It is anticipated that the Community Foundation will meet within the next few days to approve the bridge repairs and then the City Council will then let bids for the project.
