Neligh-Oakdale’s Got Talent!

A talent show is planned on Tuesday, May 15 at 8 p.m. in the Neligh-Oakdale High School Gym.

"We hope to showcase the unique talents and abilities of our students," Nate Metschke said. "Our goal is to have 20 acts for an hour of entertainment to share with our community."

To Be Eligible:

• The show is open to all students in grades 3-12
• Soloists and groups of up to 7 students are eligible
• Students may only perform one solo and one group number (2 total entries)
• Students must audition with Mrs. Miller and Mr. Metschke before schools out May 9th, we will be in the band room on Monday, May 7th from 3:45-5:00 p.m.  for students to audition for the talent show.  We can also hear you during the school day, just work out a time with us.
• 3-7 graders can audition during their music class May 7-9th
• Students will be notified on Thursday, May 10th if they will perform .

Planning your Act/Guidelines:

• All acts will be limited to 3 minutes.
• Acts may include dance, dramatics, sports, instrumental, vocal, magic, poetry, or standup comedy, gymnastics, or martial arts.
• Lyrics, costumes, and performances should be age, school, and family appropriate.  No profanity, inappropriate language, suggestive themes, or violence will be allowed.
• Lip synching, sing-a-long, or video game acts will not be allowed.  Dance routines should be rehearsed, no free-style dancing.
• No two acts/songs will be duplicated in the show, the best audition will be chosen.
• A piano, microphone, speaker, and cord to plug your phone into the speaker will be provided, all other equipment should be provided by the student.
• This is a show, not a contest.  No prizes will be awarded.
