Neligh-Oakdale Teachers Recognized For Longevity

Five Neligh-Oakdale teachers representing 90 years of service to the district were recognized on Friday. 

Gary Davis, Tammy Marshall, Beth Funk, Megan Jacob and Jennifer Korus were among those who received plaques honoring their years of service. 

Davis has taught at the district for 30 years, as well as coached numerous sports over the years, including serving as head wrestling and football coach. Marshall was recognized for 25 years at Neligh-Oakdale and teaches Spanish. This marked her final year as the speech and one-act coach at the district.

Funk, who is a second-grade teacher, has taught at Neligh-Oakdale for 15 years at the elementary level. Jacob and Korus were both honored for 10 years at Neligh-Oakdale with Jacob as a math teacher and Korus as elementary. She currently teaches the fifth grade.
