Neligh-Oakdale Places Third At St. Mary's Tournament

The Neligh-Oakdale junior varsity squad finished third at the St. Mary's tournament on Saturday afternoon.

The Warrior team is now 4-1 on the season with the lone loss coming Saturday in a three-set thriller against Niobrara-Verdigre. The Cougars edged Neligh-Oakdale 15-12 in the final set to advance to the final.

In the third-place game, Neligh-Oakdale swept Clearwater-Orchard.

Playing for the Warriors on Saturday were juniors Bailey Frey, Brittany Ingalls, Jaclynn Hixson, Devyn Kallhoff and Jordan Neely, sophomores Haley Kerkman and Kenzi Tschirren, and freshmen Shelby Pitzer and Amanda Dietz.
