It might be Labor Day, but Neligh-Oakdale still kicked off homecoming festivities with games, skits and their traditional bonfire.
Activities began Monday evening with Human Hungry Hungry hippo, which was won by Dawson Kaup and Garret Belitz. Each class then put on a skit before the bonfire. The junior class won the spirit cup with the top skit.
Tuesday begins with the Spirit Breakfast in the morning. Each day students will dress up, beginning with American Day on Tuesday, followed by PJ Day on Wednesday, Decade Day on Thursday and Maroon/White Day on Friday.
Neligh-Oakdale will host Elkhorn Valley in volleyball on Tuesday and then Clearwater-Orchard in both football and volleyball on Friday. Coronation will follow the football game.
