Neligh-Oakdale Junior High Participates In Academic Contest

​On Friday, March 17, Neligh-Oakdale attended its first Junior High Academic Contest, held at Pope John in Elgin. The event was coordinated by the Pope John National Honor Society.

Students were selected by respective teachers in test areas to participate. Those participating were: Kaleb Mozer - Reading Comprehension; Trey Svatos - Algebra & History; Cole Jensen - General Science; Griffin Claussen - Spelling; Meredith Wiseman - Language; Wyatt Schoenenberger - Vocabulary; and Riley Martensen, Mercedes Heckert, and Josey Booth - Quiz Bowl.

Wiseman and Claussen each had particularly strong days, taking third place in their respective events.
