The Neligh-Oakdale students and parents had the experience of a lifetime on the East Coast last week.
43 students and parents of Neligh-Oakdale spent 5 days on the road as they traveled to Washington D.C. and New York City.
Stops during the trip in Washington D.C. included the Capital Building and the White House. The students also had the chance to visit the many memorials that make up the National Mall, including the Lincoln, Vietnam, World War II, Korean War, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, and Thomas Jefferson Memorial as well as the Washington Monument.
During their time in New York City, the students had the chance to visit Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the Empire State Building. They also got the chance to visit the World Trade Center Memorials, Trinity Church, and Times Square.
The trip allowed students and parents to see the many notable sights that make up our nation's capital as well as experience what one of our country's largest cities is like.
