With growing concern over the increased sightings of clowns, Neligh-Oakdale superintendent Scott Gregory has announced new school precautionary procedures.
In a press release Monday, Gregory announced that students wearing clown outfits will not be permitted to participate in school or any school activities due to the potential disruption of the learning environment and safety.
In addition, individuals who choose to go on the Neligh-Oakdale campus or any school-sponsored activity dressed as clowns will be immediately reported to the police.
As a precaution, the school has asked for an increased police patrol presence around the buildings, effective immediately.
If anyone sees anything at or near the school that is suspicious or causes concern, they are encouraged to call the school as well as the police department.
