Neligh-Oakdale Announces 2018 Homecoming Candidates

The Neligh-Oakdale homecoming candidates and court have been announced. Coronation will be Friday, Aug. 31, after the football game against Ainsworth.

Candidates for king are Cole Belitz, Christian Carothers and Cade Wilkinson. Queen candidates are Haley Kerkman, Jordan Knievel and Kristen Snodgrass.

Members of the court are second-grade crown bearers Owen Kinnan and Edie Sauser; freshmen attendants Riley Martensen and Talon Krebs; sophomores Claire Whitesel and Brock Kester and juniors Hannah Schrader and Hunter Charf.

The 2018 Homecoming festivities will kick off on Sunday evening in Riverside Park. Games will start at 6:30 p.m. near the Pavilion, followed by the skits. The bonfire will be in front of the grandstands after the skits.

On Monday, a free breakfast will be served in the school lobby for students and teachers in grades 7-12. 

Dress up days for Homecoming are: Monday-Wedding/Wedding party; Tuesday-50’s day; Wednesday-Dress as your baby pictures (school appropriate); Thursday-Crazy sock/shoe day and Friday is Maroon and White Day.

The annual homecoming parade will start at 1 p.m. on Friday.
