[email protected] Today the Neligh Fire Department burned down a house a mile north of Neligh as part of a training drill. They started burning at 8:30 a.m. and the fire continued until approximately 10 a.m. Fire Chief Mike Mortensen said the burn went as planned. “The training burn went very well, everything was nice," Mortensen said. "A little hot but not bad. The wind was in the right direction.” He said there were no injuries and that the site was great as there were no obstructions nearby. Although the Neligh Fire Department was the only department present all fire departments in the county were invited to join. |
