Neligh Celebrates 31st Year Of Tree City USA Honor

Lauri Huffman recently accepted the Tree City USA Award from Nebraska Community Forestry Council chair Lyle Minshull, Arbor Day Foundation President Dan Lambe and Eric Berg, Nebraska Forest Service Community Forestry and Sustainable Landscapes program leader  and during the annual Tree City, Campus and Line USA recognition program.

​The April 5 ceremony was held at the Nebraska State Capitol Building in Lincoln. The Nebraska Forest Service honored100 Nebraska communities, six colleges & universities and four utilities for developing and maintaining a community forestry program. The City of Neligh was honored for its commitment to the management and enhancement of the community tree resource.
