Neligh Care & Rehab Welcomes Bell As New CEO

A Neligh nursing home has been experiencing some changes.

A new name and new leadership are just a few differences that can be seen since Cottonwood Healthcare acquired Neligh Care and Rehabilitation Center, formerly the Golden Living Center, in October.

Richard Bell stepped into the role of CEO in January.  Bell has a Masters’ degree in Business Administration with a healthcare emphasis and eight years of experience in the healthcare and hospital industries. He and his wife, Melita, have three sons in Kansas.

Already feeling welcomed by the community, Bell said he is excited to be working with the facility in Neligh.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve Cottonwood Healthcare in Neligh and surrounding communities.” Bell said.
Bell said Cottonwood Healthcare is passionate about serving the Neligh senior community.

“Our single mission is to give great care to patients and families of the Neligh area with great care givers who are also families of the community,” Bell said.

According to Bell, there are plans to improve the processes and infrastructure of the Neligh Care & Rehabilitation Center by revamping their resident care plans. This includes carrying out staff stabilization, investing in clinical staff for enhanced clinical programs, and upgrading the physical facilities.

“We have recently improved our services to include additional private room availabilities,” Bell said. “We also offer a recently remodeled Memory Care Wing to serve local families’ dementia care needs.

Bell said he encourages families to check out the services they have to offer through a personal tour anytime.

Cottonwood Healthcare has assumed complete management responsibility for this facility and is implementing new programs for its existing senior populations according to its missions and policies for home-like healthcare.
