N-O Speech Duet Medals In Panther Classic

The Neligh-Oakdale duet of Samantha Wright and Hailey Bixler placed in one of the state's largest speech meets on Saturday.

Their performance of "Down Came the Rain" earned them a spot in the merit finals and a 5th place medal at the highly competitive Panther Classic in Norfolk. About 30 schools from the eastern half of the state, including Lincoln and Omaha, participated in the meet.

Neligh-Oakdale's speech team will host an open house on Sunday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in the old gym. The public is welcome to attend.
