The Neligh-Oakdale School recently received a grant and is teaming up with Neligh Chamber of Commerce to get the publics input at a Community Engagement Meeting.
The meeting is part of a grant from the Nebraska Department of Education to participate in a strategic planning process called reVISION.
On December 8 at the Ag Building in Neligh, the public will have two different times to attend the meeting. The first session is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second session is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sloppy Joes and potato salad will be served.
They are looking for help to align career education courses with local, regional, and state workforce demands.
They are also seeking input on the knowledge and skills that students need for jobs in the local and regional economy.
This work will help to identify new or revise career education programs of study and courses that could be offered the schools. They are hoping to help ensure taht students leave high school with the knowledge and skills required for employment or the continuation of education.
