N-O Calls Special Meeting, Removes Consolidation Info

Neligh-Oakdale has called a special meeting next week to discuss whether or not to continue discussions with neighboring school districts. 

Meanwhile, all information regarding consolidation and a possible merger is no longer available on the school website.

​Superintendent Scott Gregory said the meeting was called by board members Cory Furstenau and Ryan Koinzan for Monday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. According to the agenda new business includes the following:

1. Discussion of/review of current discussions pertaining to neighboring districts with subcommittee members.
2. Discussion of/action to direct the Superintendent to talk with the Economic Development Director to cease current work on school impact study.
3. Discussion of/action to approve or disapprove of continuing further discussions with neighboring districts.

Gregory said he encourages the public to attend the meeting and share their thoughts on the potential merger.
