About 250 Neligh and Neligh-Oakdale alumni filled the Legion on Saturday evening with honored classes dating back to 1941.
Mary Lee (Weaver) Welsh was the lone representative from the '41 class and traveled from Barrington, IL for the event.
Welsh said she graduated with 63 students. She reminisced about their May graduation as it led up to Pearl Harbor in December.
"All of my classmates - the men - were in every branch of the service of this country, and on the Memorial Day, I think it's kind of nice to remember that," she said. "It was a different time and patriotism was one of the biggest things going at that time."
