For more than 55 years, Lichtenberg tire in Neligh has been a go-to business for any tire needs.
If a farmer got a flat, they called Lichtenberg. If a traveler had a tear in their tire while going through town, they called Lichtenberg. Basically, anyone that needed tire work looked to Lichtenberg for help.
Now, Ryan Lichtenberg is doing what he can to give customers the most of each visit.
“It’s always been strictly tires,” he said. “Now I’ve dove into the suspension work, alignments and oil changes.”
Lichtenberg, the third-generation owner of the West Neligh business, made the decision to expand his business practices starting this past January, wanting to do more for his customers. Since then, he has purchased new equipment to give customers the ultimate experience, including an impressive alignment machine.
“It’s about as state-of-the-art as you can get. A lot of new vehicles have lane-keep sensors and steering-angle sensors. Our machine will reset those angles. When you align it, it changes those so you have to reset them so it know where to go now,” Lichtenberg explained.
The new equipment gives Lichtenberg and his crew the ability to do just about anything his customer needs.
He runs his shop along with his wife, Becky. When not at the shop, Lichtenberg is a captian for the Neligh Volunteer Fire Department and also spends time with his young kids, Kylie, 8, and Logan, 7.
He admits that doesn’t leave him a lot of free time, but he doesn’t mind as long as he is able to keep his customers safe and on the road.
