Largest Group Ever Participates In BB Gun/Air Rifle Contest

The Antelope County Fair had its largest participants ever on Sunday in the BB and air rifle shooting contest held at the indoor complex on the fairgrounds. 

Terry Heithoff said 49 youth were signed up to compete in the event and nearly all participated Sunday, with the exception of two who were on vacation and unable to attend. 

There were four divisions in the BB gun contest - 8-year-olds, Junior (ages 9-11), Intermediate (12 &13) and Senior (14 and older).

The next two weeks will be devoted to shooting contests for 4-Hers. Sunday, July 13, will be the shot gun and .22 rifle contest while Sunday, July 27, will be the 3D Archery Shoot.
