Kallhoff Picks Up Silver Medal At Crofton Speech Invite

In a tough field of competition, Chase Kallhoff earned a silver medal at the Crofton Speech Invite on Saturday.

The Neligh-Oakdale senior earned second place in oral interpretation of humorous prose.

More than 10 schools attended the invite, including several of last year's state competitors from Wausa (last year's D1 champion); Crofton (C2 runner up); and Hartington-Newcastle (4th in C1).

Neligh-Oakdale's next meet will be the NVC Speech Contest in Niobrara on Feb. 29.
