Austin Rice hit an over the fence home run in Wednesday's Pony baseball game to seal Neligh's 14-4 victory over Creighton.
Coach Matt Belitz said Neligh started the game by spotting their opponent two runs, but the momentum changed quickly.
"Neligh’s bats came to life and jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the bottom of the second," he said.
Belitz said four runs in the bottom of the fifth, aided by "a two-run bomb from Austin Rice over the right field fence," secured the 10-point win in five innings.
Pitcher Cole Belitz completed the game with 94 pitches and 9 strikeouts. Hunter Reestman recorded two triples; while Belitz added a double and a single; Tucker Knust, double; Hunter Charf, a double and two singles; Devon Schindler, a double and a single; Beau Murray, three singles; Conor Ramold, three singles, and Jayden Arehart, two singles.
