Golfers braved cool temperatures Saturday to raise scholarship money for Neligh-Oakdale graduates.
The annual Neligh-Oakdale Education Foundation Golf Tournament was held at Antelope Country Club and featured Neligh-Oakdale graduates, spouses and friends from the area.
The team of Rocky Thompson, Rod Frasch, Preston Frasch and Gary Schoepf won with a score of 65. Second-place with a 68 went to brothers Lars, Martin, Ryan and Sean Gallagher.
There was a three-way tie for third place between Dane Nielsen, Jennifer Blackburn-Nielsen, Krista Schindler and Matt Schindler; Bill Bates, Jill Bates, Jim Koenig and Kathy Koenig; and Ted Hughes, Bill Kuester, Daryl Booth and Ron Weber.
Funds raised at the tournament go toward 2- and 4-year scholarships for Neligh-Oakdale graduates. Receiving scholarships this year were Zach Chance and Cody Madsen.
The date for the 2016 golf tournament has not been set.
