Female Life Flighted Following Accident Near Oakdale

Two people were transported, including one life flighted, on Thursday night following a one-vehicle accident near Oakdale.

A west-bound car from out of state drove off Highway 275 just west of the Oakdale village limits as the highway began to curve, according to officials on scene. The accident occurred around 8:15 p.m., and the vehicle landed on its side in the south ditch near from the Ag Agronomy Center in Oakdale.

​A helicopter landed in the middle of the highway and transported a female to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. A male was transported to Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh via ambulance.

The Oakdale Volunteer Fire Department, Neligh-Oakdale Jaws of Life, Neligh Volunteer Fire Department, Neligh Rescue, Antelope County Sheriff's Department and Nebraska State Patrol all responded to the accident.
