Expect Power Outages In Neligh Due To Substation Repairs

City of Neligh residents should expect power outages tonight and possibly overnight as repairs continue on the substation damaged in an accident.

The substation was struck by an SUV just after 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. View that story here

City Superintendent Dean Bly said the outages will be intermittent, and he cannot predict exactly when they will occur as the Electrical Department works to repair the substation.

Power was only out across the community for roughly 30 minutes on Sunday due to the accident because the City of Neligh switched to power from the generation plant. Bly said there will be some outages out they work toward using the substation again.
