There’s a new, but familiar, face at Pitzer Digital as the company continues to expand across Northeast Nebraska.
Wade Pitzer, who owns the company with his wife, Carrie, now serves as the Advertising Director for the four news websites - Antelope County News, Knox County News, Holt County News and Boone County News.
Pitzer previously managed Morton Buildings in Norfolk. He resigned in March and began his duties at Pitzer Digital earlier this month. The company plans to make more announcements soon on other new employees.
“Leaving Morton wasn’t an easy decision, but I’ve received a lot of support from family, friends and my Morton family, too,” Pitzer said. “They’ve all been very supportive of this venture, and we’re anxious to continue our expansion.”
The company now has four news websites with the launch of the Holt County News and Boone County News two weeks ago. Although in their infancy, the sites are already making an impact in those counties and reaching thousands of readers.
The news sites are free for readers thanks to the support of local businesses, who are advertising on the site. Residents are encouraged to thank them by patronizing their businesses.
Pitzer, who is vice president of Pitzer Digital, spent the last 14 years at Morton Buildings and brings vast experience with sales, customer relations and budgeting with multi-media advertising.
As the Advertising Director, Pitzer will work with local businesses on their advertising strategies to improve reach and engagement with the company’s progressive approach toward news coverage.
“Our news sites promote news and events in these four counties, and they are reaching thousands of people on a daily basis,” said Carrie Pitzer, who founded Pitzer Digital. “Businesses want to advertise where they can reach the most current and potential customers, and these sites are a proven way to do that. Plus, by advertising, they’re ensuring readers receive this news without a subscription or a cost. This is free news because of these great businesses.”
