Midwest Medical Transport is now under new ownership, and Neligh location manager Julie Tschirren said it's an exciting time for company.
Midwest Medical is the largest ambulance company in Nebraska has 17 locations.
"This is a very exciting change for Midwest Medical,” Tschirren said. “We’re going to focus on community involvement, education and training, along with area agencies and rural communities. It’s a very positive move forward."
Panorama Point Partners recently purchased Midwest Medical from founders Kim and Jill Wolfe of Columbus. Jeff Shullaw, who served as general manager, is now the chief executive officer.
Midwest Medical Transport began in 1987 with a single, used ambulance and has expanded to 64 ambulances, about 25 wheelchair vans and up to 400 full- and part-time employees. They also have an air ambulance service called Midwest MedAir with helicopters based in Hastings and North Platte.
Midwest Medical Transport provides wheelchair van transportation, Basic and Advanced Life Support Services as well as Critical Care and Air Medical transportation.
