A teen formerly of Neligh who was arrested during a Norfolk shooting incident was sentenced in Madison County Court on Monday.
Marquis Granville, 18, was charged with terroristic threats after he brought a loaded shotgun to a small gathering last January.
Zacharia Siemer, 21, and Tremaine Monroe, 21, were also arrested in connection with the shooting.
Granville told the court that Monroe and Siemer arrived at his house at 2 a.m. and asked him to bring the shotgun to Siemer’s house. At some point the shotgun was dropped, went off and shot another person in the foot.
Judge James Kube told Granville this case was a “crime of stupidity” before sentencing him 24 months on probation with conditions and terms.
Granville also has to pay restitution of $11,363.
Siemer will be sentenced August 19 and Monroe will be sentenced on August 26.
