On Saturday morning, August 27th, Antelope Memorial Hospital will be testing its emergency preparedness procedures in collaboration with the Neligh Fire Department, Hazmat, Neligh EMTs, area EMTs and other emergency agencies.
“We are notifying the public ahead of time of our plans for a mock emergency,” said Connie Knuth, RN of Antelope Memorial Hospital. “We do not wish for anyone to be alarmed ‒ if they see ‘emergency activities’ occurring south of Neligh on Saturday morning. All communication for the exercise will be prefaced with ‘this is a drill’ ‒ to help ensure it’s not misinterpreted with any real life emergencies. Having this drill is important for helping us to be better prepared for a possible real emergency.”
